English Conversation Classes
I am taking English conversation classes offered from the university this semester. I did not like studying English before, but I wanted to become able to use English. Thanks to these classes, I like English and I want to learn more. Before taking the classes, my purpose for studying English was just to improve the TOEIC score, so I did not like studying it. I also did not understand why I needed to study English. However, I like the English conversation classes because each lesson is only 40 minutes, they happen every day, and I can take them between my classes. I can also change the lesson time according to my schedule, so it is very convenient for me. The classes are not for credits, so I can practice English by playing games or talking about what we like. Before taking the classes, I thought that English was hard, but now I enjoy learning it. Now, I want to improve my English skills more so that I can enjoy radio programs, podcasts, and movies in English. In the future, I want to become a better English user so that I can communicate with people in the world.
私の英語学習
私は、今学期から「毎日学ぶ課外英会話」の受講を始めました。この課外英会話講座を受講する以前は、英語が嫌いになりかけていたのですが今では英語を使えるようになりたいと思えるようになり、英語が好きになりました。今までの英語学習の目的はただTOEICのスコアを伸ばすことだったため、英語学習に何のおもしろみも感じることがなく、「なぜ英語を勉強しているのだろうか」と問いかけることもしばしばありました。
しかし、毎日40分だけのクラスで好きな時間にレッスンを受講できるため受講に挑戦してみたところ、もっと学びたいと思うようになりました。正規の授業ではないため、気負うことなく受講できています。時には英語版人生ゲームや好きな話題を講師の先生と話すレッスンもあり、飽きることなく続けられています。また、英語のスキルを上げるために英語のポッドキャストやラジオ講座、洋画などを通じて学習しています。将来的には英語を使って世界中の人とおしゃべりしたいと考えています。
