困難を乗り越えた後に感じる喜び

I belong to “Chor Kleines”, which is a mixed group choir. I participated in a training camp in Nagano. I stayed there for a week. I was worried whether I could keep singing or not because if the routine was the same every day, I would get bored. But my anxiety was swept away because of my best memory from the training camp. Can you guess what is? It was seeing stars.
When I looked up at the sky, many stars were twinkling. I could see the Milky Way Galaxy, and the Big Dipper. I remembered the ensemble with a number of people, and advice from my seniors about how to sing better. Also, I recalled being checked for my utterances by my teacher who also instructed me on my diction. She also advised me on how to project my voice through space. I imagined that I could see shining stars when I needed to be patient during hard practices. If I hadn’t attended training camp, I wouldn’t have been able to see such a beautiful sight.
I was convinced it was important to accomplish things even if it’s hard. I applied this lesson to other aspects of my life as well. During my first semester, I wrote reports when conducting experiments. But I didn’t consider whether other people could understand the documents. As I received my reports, my teachers made me realize that I did not write enough about the studies. In the second semester class, I decided to check every passage more carefully. I wouldn’t have been able to realize this without my experiences at the training camp in Nagano.

私は「コール?クライネス」という混声合唱のサークル活動に所属しています。長野での合宿に参加し、1週間滞在しました。日課が同じならば退屈するだろうと思い、歌い続けていられるのか心配でした。しかし、合宿での最高に思い出があり、私の不安は解消されました。それはどんなことでしょうか？星を見たことです。
私が空を見上げた時、多くの星が瞬いていました。天の川と北斗七星を観察することができました。私は少人数でのアンサンブル、よりよい歌い方を先輩からアドバイスしてくれたことを思い出しました。また、発声法の指導をする先生に私の歌声を確認してもらったことが蘇りました。先生はそれのみではなく、私に声を空間へ響かせる方法も助言しました。私は、辛い練習に耐える必要のある時に煌めく星が見えたのだと想像しました。仮に合宿に出席しなかったとするならば、そのような美しい光景を目に映すことはなかったでしょう。
私はどんなに困難であっても、物事を成し遂げることが大事だと確信しました。この教訓は私の人生の様々な側面にも当てはまりました。前期では、実験を行うごとにレポートを書きました。ですが、第三者が文章を理解できるのかということについてよく考えていませんでした。レポートが返却されると、教授は私に考察の内容が不十分だということを気付かせてくれました。私は、後期において全ての文章をより注意深く確認すると決心しました。長野での合宿の経験がなかったのであれば、このことに気付かなかったでしょう。
