Developing independence and leadership through travel planning
Hello! I went to Osaka a year ago in the summer. The main reason I went was a simple desire to meet friends who share my hobbies. Going there seemed like a small thing, but I will talk about my great experience and feeling.
First, do you know what “game commentary” is? It is when people make comments describing an online event or video streaming, especially when people are playing games, performing or interviewing. I recommend participating when you are depressed or if you want to kill some time.
In Osaka, I met with other people who have this common hobby and actively support “game commentary”. These people also create fan art, video streaming, and other creative things for other online streaming events. Each person gets involved as they like, and eventually we became a kind of group. I draw art too, and share this with members to return a favor that had cheered me up. I have also improved my art!
So, I wanted to organize a gathering in Osaka with our members. First, I sent a message to about 20 of the close group members. I also sent messages to people who are far from Kansai. From this, 6 people close by were willing to gather.
Second, I discussed travel arrangements and an itinerary with these members. For example, what shops they wanted to visit, what things they wanted to experience, and things they wanted to enjoy. I learned that when there are many people, it is difficult to form a consensus, and that some people cannot express their opinions fully, but the members were kind and cooperated with me, so I was able to decide plans quickly.
Last, I was able to make a plan that everyone could understand using an image editing app.
This small experience led to more confidence, increased independence and better leadership because I was able to think for myself, collaborate with others, and actually do it! I was happy!

こんにちは！私は昨年の夏、夜行バスに乗って大阪旅行に行って来ました！
今回彼らと会う上で私が取り組んだことはちっぽけなものですが、ここではそこで自分のした経験、それらを通して感じたことについてお話します。
最初のきっかけは趣味の同じ友人に会ってみたいという単純な気持ちでした。
皆さん、ゲーム実況はご存知でしょうか？
ゲームをしながら話し、動画や配信をするカテゴリーです。
落ち込んだ時や暇つぶしに、ぜひおすすめです。
共通の趣味というのは、同じゲーム実況者さんを応援している視聴者同士であり、ファンアートを描いている、配信者を目指している等、それぞれがゲーム実況に関することに取り組み、関わりが生まれました。
私も、落ち込んだ時何度も元気をもらった人に恩返しをしたい、そして絵への向上心から、未熟ではありますが絵を描いています。
※ただし、ネット上で関わった人間と会うことは危険性も高いです。
まずは、メンバー集めを行いました！
仲の良いグループメンバー、20名弱にメッセージを送り、やり取りを行います。
関西から距離のある方にも送りました。今回は現地周辺に住む6人と集まりました。
その後、行くメンバーと話し合いに移ります。
行きたいお店、旅行先で体験したいこと、楽しみたいこと等！
人数が増えれば増えるほど意見はまとまりにくく、もしくは意見の言えない人もいると思いますが、少人数かつ皆優しい人で協力してくれたため、早く決めることができました。
その後、皆がわかりやすいような旅行計画の表や、自分の持ち物表などをCanvaという画像制作アプリで簡単に制作しました。
自信の無い自分にとって、この小さな経験は自立やリーダーシップへの自信に繋がりました。旅行当日が楽しかったのはもちろん、本当に小さいですが、自身で考え、周りと協力し、実行できたのです！嬉しかった！
